Cacao Ceremony
SING, PRAY, LOVE
in a sacred space dedicated to relaxing your mind & body, raising your spirit,
opening your heart, and your voice.
in a sacred space dedicated to relaxing your mind & body, raising your spirit,
opening your heart, and your voice.
Enter the light filled sanctuary, and find your place.
In the quiet of a Sunday afternoon, listen to your breath, and attune your consciousness to this day in the spirit of love. An opening poem or prayer welcomes you ~ as you are. We begin by setting a personal & collective intention and opening our connection with Source energy. A powerful, heart awakening entheogen of pure cacao from Guatemala will be served ceremonially with a meditation. An alternate tea will be available for those who choose. Then, with gentle body, breath, and voice warming we awaken the inner temple. We enter and align ourselves within the space by toning sacred sound syllables from lineages around the world. Another portal opens to us via mantra or chant as we invoke with intention. Now we begin a tuning practice ~ a personal and collectively inspired sound prayer over a drone. A collective invocation is created to help us enter into a sonic prayer space together. You are welcome to simply receive, or to join in creating the matrix of intentional vibration. We complete the prayer with a period of silence, after which you will receive a sonic bath with chimes, singing bowls, flute, digeridoo... whatever the spirit of the moment calls for the energies to be received. We come together one last time in a simple chant-like song and close our time together with a dedication. We end as we began, in silence. You may stay and rest or meditate for a time, and rise up into the day as you are complete ~ entering the world as a living tuning fork for the highest good. Check Here In August for Updates on our Fall Events!! Have a beautiful summer!

"Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving. It doesn't matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come, yet again, come, come.” ~ Rumi

Contraindications: Many antidepressants do NOT mix with the tryptophan and MAOI's (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors) in this cacao… Google your medication! – I have seen some ripping migraines, and it could be worse. Most need to be on a large dose of antidepressants or anti-psycotics, or a mixture, to get a headache. Heart conditions: cacao increases heart rate significantly (15-20%), and is a vasodilator, opening blood vessels, increasing flow, and reducing blood pressure if it is high. Go easy at first with very low blood pressure – tho it is rarely a problem (for most, cacao increases low blood pressure). If you get migraines from coffee, be cautious with cacao, tho I rarely see a problem with our cacao.
Those who need dietetic detox, or are toxic (as with an intervention like chemotherapy), may become nauseous 5-6 hours after a large dose, as the bitter stimulates the liver… if so drink water! Those into fasting or raw diet may overdose on regular ceremonial quantities. Lower doses may also be needed for some (but not all) with low body weight or those who regard themselves as sensitive, such as to drugs or energies... this could be physiological or belief system based, or both.
A larger or full ceremonial amount of cacao combined with intense aerobic activity or a high-heat hot spring/ tub/ sweat/ sauna could make anyone nauseous. Dancing is fine!
